- Suzanne Collins was born on the 10th of August 1962.
- She went to Alabama School of Fine Arts and she graduated fromIndianaUniversity.
- In 1991 she started her career as a writer of children’s TV shows for Nickelodeon.
- In September 2008 she released her first book: The Hunger Games.
- She was inspired to write it because of all the work her father had done during the war. She had a good understanding of poverty and starvation.
