- She was educated in Methodist English High School in Burma.
- She had a talent for learning languages.
- She also studied at St Hugh’s College Oxford and at the University of London.
- Her father was a politician and she turned out to be a pro-democrasy leader and is now touring Europe after being under house arrest for 15 years.
